Get Rhythm Programs – Special Events and Festivals
A Get Rhythm celebration is designed to bring together large groups of people with diverse backgrounds to experience the unity and community created by interactive rhythm making.
Magic happens even for participants who feel they are rhythmically challenged. A Get Rhythm event will long be remembered for its ability to empower people to use their own rhythmical spirits in a playfully cooperative, interactive and fun-filled celebration.
Get Rhythm creates a fun-filled participatory musical event providing drums for up to two hundred participants of all ages to create an exciting, interactive community drum circle celebration. Musically accessible to everyone, a Get Rhythm! event creates a dynamic, rhythm-charged group experience that becomes the highlight of any festival.
What You Get:
Drums and percussion for up to 300 participants.
A professionally facilitated event which will unify large groups in an upbeat, all-inclusive atmosphere.
Testimonials:
“I actually anticipated great success with ‘Get Rhythm!’ based solely on the concept, John’s enthusiasm, and my own love of drumming…if you hear the beat, you just have to join in. We promoted it as just ‘one way to work off the morning’s coffee,’ but also emphasized the team-building aspects, and the general fun to be had… You could tell by watching the makeup of the crowd just what I wanted to get out about Panoply in general – if you think it’s only for kids, then you must include kids who are currently retirees and grandparents… We definitely want John BACK!”

“The presence of the ‘Get Rhythm!’ Program at Panoply 2007 added such a wonderful feature to our festival that it is the first thing you hear people talk about when they tell you what they loved the most. His passion for rhythm and willingness to transfer it to others could be heard throughout the park the whole weekend.”

“Get Rhythm was an incredible addition to City Stages in 2006. The drum circle represents everything City Stages is about – community, communication, music appreciation, and fun! We look very forward to continuing our relationship and featuring Get Rhythm at this year’s festival and for years to come”.

“I am so excited about your involvement in making the Global Drum Project all inclusive to our audience members.”
“The drum circle is the icing on the cake to a cool show like Global drum. I am certain Mickey Hart and his fellow band mates will be excited to be a part of it. Thank you for bringing our community together in such a cool, meaningful way!”
