Community drum jams are a great way to experience the unifying and energizing effects a a group of (mostly) strangers coming together to create “in the moment” rhythms with others. No musical experience is necessary to participate in community drum jams as this is NOT a “class” in HOW to drum. Rather, it’s an interactive experience in HOW to LISTEN!

There are always a limited number of drums and percussion instruments available to borrow or you can bring your favorite drum or whatever you have. Or you can just show up and listen to the grooves! usually, community drum jams take place at one of Birmingham’s many breweries or at parks! No matter where, the drum jam is OPEN to people of all kinds, colors, faiths, sexual orientation. ALL are welcome regardless of age or ability. Always.
